On April 17th, the news came from the First Drilling Company of Bohai Drilling Company that the high 32-ping 4 well drilled by the 70025 drilling team was drilled to 6088 meters, setting many records of the deepest horizontal well, the largest vertical depth, and the shortest drilling cycle of the ultra-deep well above 6000 meters.

Well high 32-flat 4 is the second horizontal well of the second batch of horizontal Wells in the high 5 fault block tight oil project. The second well passes through multiple layers, which needs to overcome many problems such as basalt conglomerate and sand fault. The horizontal section is long, the mudstone is easy to collapse, the water injection layer is intricate, easy to leak and water invasion.

Starting with fine management, the 70025 drilling team continued to do a good job of horizontal drilling card prevention, closely monitored the torque, tension and ECD changes, strengthened the operation of key links, and realized the safe drilling of the horizontal well section. Compared with the first batch, the second batch of horizontal Wells has the characteristics of thinner reservoir, faster lateral change of sand body, longer footage and longer horizontal section, making it difficult to drill into reservoirs accurately. The team actively communicated with the experts of the geological guidance group, analyzed the drilling data in real time, closely watched the changes of various monitoring values, realized accurate entry into the target, improved the drilling rate of the horizontal section, and successfully reached the geological target layer. During the construction, the technical experts of the company worked in the well throughout the whole process, to coordinate and solve the actual technical bottlenecks. The project department organized relevant parties to hold technical disclosure meetings in advance, formulated effective preventive measures for geological risks, organized engineering geological integration meetings every day, and arranged specific work at each stage to improve the cooperation efficiency.
