The Cumulative Export of Crude Oil from CNOOC's Dongying Crude Oil Terminal Exceeded 50 Million Tons

On October 7, the reporter learned from the Tianjin branch of CNOOC that the Dongying crude oil terminal of Bonan Operating Company has achieved a cumulative export of more than 50 million tons of crude oil since it was put into operation in 2014, making important contributions to ensuring national energy security and promoting economic development in the Bohai Rim region.

"50 million tons accounts for about a quarter of the total domestic crude oil production in 2022, which is equivalent to the use of more than 10 years for a population of 10 million people like Tianjin." Cnooc Tianjin branch Bonan operating company general manager Wang Benwu said.

Dongying Crude Oil Terminal is a comprehensive crude oil terminal integrating crude oil processing, storage and export. It undertakes the onshore receiving, processing and export tasks of crude oil produced by 14 oil and gas fields in the southern waters of Bohai Sea. Since the beginning of this year, with the successive production of new projects such as Kenli 6-1 oilfield and the official operation of Kenli 3-2 oilfield to Dongying Crude oil Terminal Phase II offshore pipeline, the daily crude oil processing capacity of Dongying crude oil Terminal has risen significantly to more than 27,000 tons.

In order to continuously improve the capacity of crude oil processing and transportation, Dongying Crude oil Terminal takes the special action of basic management improvement as the starting point, improves the quality of daily safety management of crude oil transmission pipelines through remote real-time monitoring of cameras, regular all-round inspection of drones, and foot cross inspection of personnel in key pipeline sections, and finds and eliminates more than 80 hidden dangers. Ensuring high-quality transportation of crude oil "arteries" provides a solid guarantee for further releasing the production capacity of old oil fields and accelerating the development of new oil fields.
