Chuanqing Drilling Bore the Record of the Deepest Well in the Fuyuan Block

On January 3, the Fuyuan 302-H22 well of Chuanqing Drilling team 70552 was drilled to a depth of 8,518 meters, setting a record for the deepest well in the Fuyuan block.

In recent years, the focus of exploration and development in Tarim Oilfield has gradually shifted to Fuman Oilfield, the largest ultra-deep oilfield in China. Chuanqing Drilling Xinjiang Branch centralized the adjustment of drilling RIGS to this area, the number of drilling RIGS increased from 3 to 7, and accumulated the workload of 11 Wells in the Fuman block, initially realizing regional sharing.

By improving the regional speed acceleration template, the branch fully promoted the drilling and completion "one trip" project, and used speed acceleration tools such as pre-bent screw assembly, which made the drilling and completion speed of the block 22% faster than that of 2022, and broke the drilling record in the block many times. Among them, the Fuyuan 302-H9 well was drilled in 98.7 days, the first time that the 8,000-meter deep well in the Tarim area was drilled in 100 days.

Well Fuyuan 302-H22 was spudded on August 31, 2023. The branch scientifically formulated the construction plan, the drilling team strictly implemented and standardized the optimal index of the block, and refined the technical measures, so that the well took 20.5 days to drill to the middle completion depth of 7666 meters, refreshing the record of the fastest drilling in the third opening of the Fuyuan block.
