Fracturing Water Plugging Technology in Jilin Oilfield for Precipitation and Oil Increase
As of March 1, more than three months since the fracturing water plugging test was carried out in Min +24-24 well in Jilin oilfield, the water cut has decreased by 20.3% and the daily oil gain has reached 1.2 tons. This marks a new breakthrough in the treatment of fractured and fast-flooding Wells in Jilin oilfield.
Due to the prominent flooding problem in Songnan old area of Jilin Oilfield, a variety of technical means have been used for rapid flooding of fractures, but the efficiency of plugging is always low and no good results have been seen. Aiming at the problem of rapid flooding in Songnan middle and low permeability old oil field, Jilin Oil and Gas Technology Research Institute deepened the concept of fracture plugging and formed fracturing water plugging technology, that is, first press crack, and then send granular bridging agent to the far end of the fracture in a way of low displacement and high sand ratio, and finally compacted the bridging agent under the action of fracture closure pressure to achieve effective fracture plugging.
Taking better sealing of fractures as the starting point, researchers conducted plugging breakthrough pressure evaluation, particle bridging agent compatibility evaluation experiment and fracture height simulation study to explore the influence of particle bridging agent dosage, particle size combination, displacement and other factors on fracture plugging, and initially formed the fracturing water plugging technology and key parameter optimization design method for fractured rapid water-flooded Wells. In November 2023, Jilin Oilfield applied this technology to carry out field tests in Min +24-24 well to achieve precipitation oil increase. In the next step, Jilin Oilfield will continue to optimize the plugging agent system according to the reservoir characteristics of each production area, improve the key process parameters of fracturing water plugging in fractured and fast-flooding Wells, and provide a strong technical guarantee for improving the water flooding effect in the old area.
