On April 15, the new No. 2 furnace of Jinzhou Oil Production Plant, the first condensing boiler in Liaohe Oilfield, was continuously injecting the steam produced into the heavy oil thermal recovery well next to it. After 5 months of operation, the thermal efficiency of the boiler has remained at 96.8%, which is 5 percentage points higher than that of the ordinary boiler, and it is the highest thermal efficiency of the boiler in the oil field at present.


Liaohe Oilfield is an important heavy oil production base in China. Steam injection is the first choice of heavy oil thermal recovery and development, and the energy consumption accounts for 75% of the total energy consumption of the oilfield. In this regard, Liaohe Oilfield explores effective ways to improve the thermal efficiency of steam injection system and reduce energy consumption by tackling the key boiler efficiency improvement technology.


The condensing boiler mainly aims at the core point where the smoke temperature of the traditional boiler is higher, makes full use of the potential heat carried by the steam in the flue gas, and heats the softened water entering the boiler twice to improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler. Condensing boiler is widely used for heavy oil steam injection, and can be popularized in the field of heavy oil development. Liaohe Oilfield will use this technology as the main technology of boiler efficiency improvement, and more than 100 boilers will be transformed one after another.


In recent years, Liaohe oilfield focused on efficiency and consumption reduction, according to the development mode and steam injection needs, has formed 3 generations of convection section transformation efficiency improvement technology, 2 process change efficiency improvement technology, including the condensing boiler, 111 boilers have been transformed, and the average thermal efficiency has increased by 4.9%.
