China Independently Developed and Designed and Built the First Intelligent FPSO! The Number of Offshore Oil 123 was Delivered to the Plant

In the early morning of June 26th, FPSO "Offshore Oil 123" (CMHI-265) of Lufeng 12-3 oilfield, built by China Merchants Industrial Haimen Base for CNOOC Energy Development Co., LTD. (CNOOC), successfully set sail.

"Offshore Oil 123" is a 100,000 load-ton twin-shell FPSO, developed and designed by the 78th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation. It is the first intelligent FPSO independently developed, designed and built in China. Enter ABS and CCS double ship class, the total cost of 2.41 billion yuan. The total length of the ship is 241.5 meters, the width is 45.2 meters, the depth is 25.4 meters, and the design draft is 16.7 meters. The water depth of the berthing center is about 236 meters. It has process facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, public facilities, 80 bed living buildings, power station, etc., and the service life is 30 years.

As a new intelligent FPSO in China, the main difference between "Offshore Oil 123" and conventional FPSO lies in its high degree of intelligence. It is the first new FPSO in China that applies digital technologies such as cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, edge computing and other digital technologies, which will lay a solid foundation for the intelligent oil and gas production and operation after production.

Since the project started on November 26,2021, Haimen Base has actively deployed excellent teams with rich FPSO production and design experience, coordinated the superior resources in the factory, and formed a vanguard to overcome difficulties, so that all the work can be carried out in an orderly manner. The project team made scientific decisions, coordinated efficiently, and dealt with problems timely and decisively, which laid a solid foundation for the smooth delivery of the project. Finally, after 19 months of unremitting efforts, the project team completed the delivery task.

On 16 June, "Offshore Oil 123" completed land construction and successfully delivered."Offshore Oil 123" FPSO, as the first FPSO general contract project undertaken by Haimen Base, is of great significance for investment industry to continuously enrich FPSO production and construction experience of FPSO and build the one-stop delivery capacity of FPSO.
