The First CCUS Injection Well in Jidong Oilfield was Successfully Removed

As of July 5, the first CCUS injection well 66X1 in Jidong Oilfield has been continuously injected with gas for 22 days, the starting pressure decreased by 9.2 mpa compared with that before plugging, and the stable injection pressure decreased by 14.9 mpa compared with that before plugging, marking the effect of coiled tubing plugging technology in this well.

The high 66X1 well is a gas injection well in the CCUS pilot test of the high 66X1 fault block. The gas injection pressure is gradually increased from 22.5 MPa to 31.5 MPa, reaching the upper pressure limit of the injection equipment. Through the comprehensive analysis of the previous operation situation and dynamic monitoring data, the research team of Jidong Oilfield judged that there are inorganic impurities and asphaltene precipitation caused by carbon dioxide extraction, and the plugging operation needs to be implemented.

Technical personnel to break the traditional thinking, targeted to put forward the understanding of the idea of blocking, clear understanding of the blocking process method. In terms of unplugging cylinder, technicians adopt the construction process of continuous tubing injection, which can not only solve the gas seal failure caused by the direct contact between the gas seal buckle and the unplugging system, but also effectively protect the gas seal injection cylinder. In terms of the aspect of plugging system, technicians adopt the "organic pretreatment solution + slow acid duplex compound plugging" system, which can realize organic + inorganic dual composite plugging, and achieve good results.

High 66X1 well successfully applied the continuous oil pipe plugging technology, which provides technical support for smooth gas injection in CCUS pilot test in Jidong Oilfield, and also provides a reference technical route for similar Wells.
