The Southwest Oil and Gas Field Produced More Than 600 Billion Cubic Meters of Cumulative Gas Reducing Carbon Emissions by 1.657 Billion Tons
As of 8 o 'clock on September 4, the cumulative production of natural gas of Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company exceeded 600 billion cubic meters, which can meet the needs of industrial and agricultural production and people's living gas in Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hubei and other provinces and cities, and make positive contributions to promoting the economic and social development of Southwest and even the whole country.
From the annual production of only 33 million cubic meters of natural gas in 1949, to the formation of five atmospheric zones in the east, west, south, north and middle provinces in the Sichuan Basin at the end of the 20th century, the completion of China's first natural gas industrial base, and then the completion of 30 million tons of large oil and gas fields by 2022, several generations of "Sichuan oilmen" have made unremitting efforts to overcome the extremely complex underground structure of the Sichuan Basin. 115 gas fields were developed, 5,241 Wells were put into operation, and cumulative natural gas production reached 60.019 billion cubic meters, benefiting more than 1,000 large and medium-sized industrial users, more than 10,000 public utility users and more than 25 million households, replacing 720 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by 1.657 billion tons.
Southwest Oil and Gas Field adhering to the concept of "developing a gas field, driving one side of the economy, benefiting one side of the people", led to the rapid increase in the scale of the natural gas industry. Since the "13th Five-Year Plan", the company has invested more than 100 billion yuan in Sichuan and Chongqing, covering natural gas exploration and development, short-distance pipeline transportation and natural gas purification, gas storage business, downstream terminal sales business and other fields, with a cumulative production of 223.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas. At the same time, the clean natural gas supplied by the company has helped local governments attract investment, successively promoted more than 10 leading enterprises in the industry such as Wanhua Chemical, Ningde Times and Fujian Yongrong to land in the Sichuan and Chongqing region, promoted the transformation and upgrading of the Sichuan and Chongqing industry from basic chemical industry to high-end fine chemical industry, and helped Sichuan to build a trillion-level chemical industry.
At present, with the goal of "winning 50 billion cubic meters by 2025", Southwest Oil and Gas Field has laid out the "Ten new projects" in old areas such as Longwangmiao and Changning, and the "ten new projects" in new areas such as Luzhou shale gas, Gaoshitai multi-storey system of Anyue Gas field, and Jianyang block of Tianfu Gas Field, making new contributions to ensuring national energy security.
