The Annual Output of Shale Oil in Changqing Oilfield Again Exceeded 2 Million Tons

Changqing Oilfield shale oil development came good news, as of October 27, the cumulative production of shale oil this year reached 2.16 million tons, and the average daily oil level reached 7678 tons. This is the second time that the annual output of shale oil in Changqing Oilfield has exceeded the 2 million tons mark after 2022.

Shale oil and gas is an important strategic replacement resource for China's oil and gas development. For more than 10 years, Changqing Oilfield has anchored shale oil exploration and development targets, focused on the characteristics of unconventional shale oil reservoirs, and continued to strengthen geological theoretical research and core technology research. In the large shale oil field with proven reserves of more than 1 billion tons in Longdong area, it has stepped out of a shale oil innovation and development road with Changqing characteristics. In particular, from 2019 to 2022, the annual crude oil production of Changqing Oilfield has remained stable at more than 20 million tons, of which the proportion of shale oil production has increased from 4.3% to 8.6%, achieving double growth, and gradually becoming an important replacement force for stable oil production in Changqing oilfield. In 2022, the annual output of Changqing shale oil will reach 2.21 million tons, accounting for two-thirds of the total output of domestic shale oil.

This year, Changqing Oilfield actively responded to the call of the state, according to the deployment of the group company, further accelerated the pace of increasing shale oil storage and production, established 13 shale oil work classes, focused on solving the technical and management problems of shale oil scale efficiency development, and accelerated the deployment of new production capacity in eastern Gansu and northern Shaanxi. The organization carried out tests on new technologies such as ultra-long horizontal Wells, structural oil displacement, and hydraulic fracturing fields, and the production and operation indicators continued to improve.

As the main unit of shale oil development in Changqing, Shale Oil Development Branch continues to put new Wells into operation and increase efficiency of old Wells, and strives to promote the increase of shale oil storage and production. In terms of putting new Wells into operation, with the goal of "early production and prolific oil production", we actively coordinated with the shale oil production and construction project team to put into operation, ensuring seamless production of new Wells. This year, we effectively organized 75 new Wells into operation, with cumulative oil production exceeding 128,000 tons, and the production cycle of a single well continued to shorten. In terms of increasing the efficiency of old Wells, we adhere to the dual-wheel drive of technology and geology, grasp the two major projects of "control decline and increase recovery", innovate and form the development technology strategy of "stewing, discharge, production, increase and supplement" to maximize EUR, explore the new technology of "three extension" to restore production capacity, promote reservoir classification and classification management, and effectively consolidate the stable production foundation of oil fields. The effective rate was 94.1%.

In July this year, all 31 horizontal Wells of the H100 platform, the largest shale oil horizontal well platform in Asia, were put into operation, becoming an "oil carrier" with "the largest number of Wells, the largest controlled reserves, the highest output and the best benefits" of a single platform for shale oil. According to the person in charge of the shale oil development branch, "The platform covers an area of 30 mu and can control underground reserves of 10 million tons, achieving 'a little on the ground and a piece underground'." Annual production is expected to reach more than 150,000 tons, equivalent to a medium-sized oil production area. Compared with the traditional model, the construction of one million tons of oil fields can save 1,400 mu of land, equivalent to 130 football fields." On October 21, another large intelligent unattended shale oil joint station - Lingsan Joint Station was completed and put into operation, adding "new recruits" to the Changqing shale oil development queue.

At present, Changqing Oilfield has produced more than 10 million tons of shale oil in Ordos Basin, which has initially realized the scale-efficient development of shale oil and rejuvenated the Eonggu Basin.
