On October 27, the reporter learned from the Institute of Oriental Geophysical Exploration Company that the research team jointly set up by the Geological Research Center of the Institute and the Dagang Branch continued to strengthen the basic research, overall research and comparative research of the Bohai Bay Basin, and undertook the project "Research and target implementation in the field of risk exploration of the Bohai Bay Basin" to make stage progress, and the project evaluation selected 41 favorable zones. Focusing on 5 major exploration areas, 8 stage achievements have been achieved, and 10 risk targets have been proposed, providing strong geophysical technical support for the exploration and development of Bohai Bay Basin.

The comprehensive research project of Bohai Bay Basin covers 200,000 square kilometers, including land, beach and sea environment, and the geological situation of the basin is extremely complicated. Due to the influence of seismic and geological conditions, the exploration of the whole basin is very uneven, the signal-to-noise ratio of deep seismic data is low, and the key geological elements are unclear, which restricts the solution of complex geological problems. Due to the influence of uplift between depressions and the division of mineral rights, technicians in different exploration areas are not clear about the distribution of deep strata, exploration potential and direction, and it is difficult to collect and analyze various seismic and geological data.

In May this year, the Institute set up a research team to conduct research on risk exploration in different areas of the Bohai Bay Basin. In just a few months, it was extremely difficult to propose strategic zones and select favorable risk targets. The Institute gave full play to the advantages of seismic and geological integration, and a number of leaders and experts guided the research team many times through online and offline ways on the basin stratigraphic framework filling, structural evolution, research ideas in key areas, long-term direction planning and other issues, and solved more than 20 key problems.

According to the requirements of the joint stock company, the research team closely follows the oilfield exploration deployment, strengthens technical exchanges in Dagang, Liaohe and North China exploration areas, deepens geological understanding and technological innovation, and ensures the high quality of the project research by improving the integrity and novelty of the research. At the same time, on the basis of digesting a large number of literature and research results of other experts, the research team combined with the latest research understanding of each exploration area to form a unified industrial geological map of the basin; For the first time, the evaluation of reservoir formation conditions in coal measures sources was carried out, a new model of hydrocarbon accumulation in deep paleogene system was established, and new risk exploration zones were implemented for multi-layer systems and multi-types of buried hills, providing a strong guarantee for the smooth development of the project.
