On November 4, the 6th China International Import Expo Sinopec Theme Forum and the signing ceremony of Sinopec Trading sub-group was held in Shanghai. With the theme of "Promoting Energy Transition through Openness and Cooperation", the forum will focus on global energy transition and energy cooperation and discuss a new path for green and low-carbon development. At the signing ceremony, Sinopec signed purchase agreements with 38 partners from 16 countries and regions, covering 11 categories and 29 kinds of products such as crude oil, chemicals, equipment, materials and agricultural products, with a purchase contract value of 40.3 billion US dollars. Since the first CIIE in 2018, Sinopec has signed a total of more than US $244 billion.


Ma Yongsheng, chairman of Sinopec, said that in the face of the surging trend of energy transformation, Sinopec actively embraces the energy revolution, follows the trend of green development, vigorously promotes the transformation and upgrading of traditional business, improves the supply capacity of green energy, promotes energy conservation, pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and strives to walk out of a road of green, low-carbon and high-quality development. In the practice of promoting energy transformation, Sinopec has more deeply realized that promoting energy transformation and achieving green development cannot be separated from the joint efforts of the global energy industry and the open cooperation of energy enterprises. Therefore, Sinopec suggested that all enterprises should strengthen cooperation in oil and gas resources and work together to build a more stable oil and gas supply system; Strengthen green energy cooperation to jointly promote higher quality green and low-carbon transformation; We need to strengthen cooperation in science and technology to create stronger driving forces for innovation.


At the signing ceremony, Sinopec signed cooperation and procurement agreements with a number of companies. Sinopec and Qatar Energy signed an integration cooperation agreement for the second phase of the Northern Gas Field Expansion Project (NFS), including a 27-year long-term purchase and sale agreement for liquefied natural gas (LNG) and an upstream participation agreement. In addition, Sinopec has signed purchase agreements with 38 cooperative enterprises in 16 countries and regions, including Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Mesenes Company and Petronas.
