High Efficient Fracturing of Tight Gas in Jilin Oilfield Reduces Production and Cost


As of March 18, the steady production of Yingshen 2-3 well in Songnan Old Area of Jilin Oilfield has reached more than 200 days after fracturing, with an average daily gas production of 25,000 cubic meters, which is 25% higher than the designed capacity and 32% lower than the investment in gas production engineering, realizing the benefit and production improvement of tight gas reservoirs in Yingtai gas production area.


Songnan tight gas reservoir is characterized by multiple sets of strata, complex lithology, poor physical property, fine pore throat and serious water lock damage. There is basically no industrial production capacity under natural state, and it needs to be exploited by fracturing. Jilin Oilfield takes "increase volume, reduce damage and control investment" as the goal. On the basis of "three-stage" fracture network fracturing technology, a series of supporting technologies for increasing production and reducing cost, such as high-strength sand addition, waterproof and surface locking agent, medium temperature and low cost fracturing fluid system and quartz sand replacement, are targeted.


Yingshen 3-3 well is the key well in Jilin Oilfield. After repeated research and optimization of key fracturing parameters, the Oil and Gas Technology Research Institute of Jilin Oilfield developed a fracturing technology system of "multi-cluster limited flow perforation + three-stage fracture network fracturing + multistage temporary plugging and steering" with the goal of "increasing the reconstruction volume, reducing reservoir damage and controlling program cost" to realize the effective transformation of the whole well section.


The successful completion of fracturing in Yingshen Well 3-3 proves that unconventional fracturing technology can meet the demand for efficient production of tight gas reservoirs represented by Yingtai, and can provide engineering technical support for stable tight gas production in Jilin oilfield.
