The Southwest Oil and Gas Field Produced Nearly 18 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas During the Guarantee Period

As of March 25, Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company produced nearly 18 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the current winter and spring supply period, an increase of about 1 billion cubic meters.

Since the start of the winter and spring supply guarantee work on November 1 last year, Southwest Oil and Gas Field has set up a supply guarantee leading group, set up special work groups, prepare the supply guarantee implementation plan, and clarify the task indicators, in accordance with the principle of "maximum resource organization, ensuring the people's livelihood, ensuring the public focus, and ensuring safe and stable operation". Implement 26 supply assurance measures in 8 aspects, including resource organization, operation control, marketing strategy, production capacity construction, safety supervision, emergency response, public opinion guidance and control, and special supervision, and coordinate all supply assurance work.

Although the winter was cold last year, the production and construction of Southwest oil and gas fields were in full swing. The company adheres to the production organization principle of "early optimization and fine control", efficiently promotes the development of conventional gas, develops shale gas on a large scale, accelerates the development of tight gas, pays close attention to the production capacity maintenance of old Wells, increases the closure of Wells to resume production and measures to tap potential, and realizes the production particles of old Wells to warehouse.

The implementation of rapid construction and investment in new Wells was accelerated. The Tieshan Gas field, petrochina's first self-developed ultra-high sulfur gas field, produced more than 4.4 million cubic meters of gas per day; the daily production of tight gas in the Tianfu gas field exceeded 10 million cubic meters; and the daily production of shale gas in Sichuan and Chongqing stabilized at more than 33 million cubic meters. In December 2023, Southwest Oil and Gas Field successfully built the first atmosphere with an annual output of 40 billion cubic meters in Southwest China, demonstrating the company's responsibility to ensure national energy security, and also showing the production organization capacity of Southwest Oil and Gas Field as the only regional company with the whole natural gas industry chain of petrochina.

Xiangguosi gas storage, the first underground gas storage in Southwest China, plays the role of "regulator" for peak regulation and supply protection, effectively promotes the construction of diffuser incremental projects, and achieves full storage in winter for the first time, increasing the working gas volume by 300 million cubic meters; In November 2023, the first set of 10 million cubic meters of natural gas triethylene glycol skid-mounted dewatering device was put into operation in China to improve the gas recovery charging capacity. In the most tight stage of natural gas supply in January this year, the daily gas production of Xiangguo Temple gas storage exceeded 33 million cubic meters for eight consecutive days.

In several rounds of strong cooling and snowfall weather before and after the Spring Festival, the daily gas output of Southwest oil and gas field reached 125 million cubic meters, an increase of 8 million cubic meters year-on-year, successfully responding to the challenge of the steep increase in demand for natural gas resources.

While ensuring the warm winter of residents in the Sichuan and Chongqing areas, the Southwest oil and gas field also upload the Sino-Guizhou Line, the Zhongwu Line and the Sichuan gas East line in accordance with the principle of "ensuring upload and taking into account the Southwest", transporting Sichuan's "blessing" for the overall situation of national supply.
