NP-01 ambient temperature swell meter is a precision measuring instrument that is used to test the swelling changes of clay shale under ambient temperature and atmospheric conditions, thereby assessing the inhibition characteristics of different reagents to clay shale.

It consists of a base, support, test cup and digital dial gage.

The instrument is easy to operate and the readings are accurate and easy to read.

Put the compacted pulverized clay shale core in a cylindrical mold, place the sensor bar on the shale core and then put it on the base of the test cup. The reagents are injected into the test cup. When the shale core swells, the pressure will push the sensor bar and the dial gage. Read the swell increment directly from the dial gage.
