The model HTD-CST capillary suction timer can be used in many fields, for example, testing

and studying of oilfield chemicals (As a method to assess the dispersion inhibition capacity of

slurry, anti-swelling capacity of drilling fluid and hydration and dispersion inhibition capacity of

drilling fluid; optimizing the formula of working fluid, e.g. varieties, dose and proportion of

treatment agents; or as a new method to analyze and assess classification of shale), sewage

treatment (To rapidly test the filtration characteristics and state of sludge).

It consists of an electric box and test assembly.

With the touch-tone design, it is easy and convenient to operate. The reading can be rapidly

displayed.

The capillary suction timer measures the time taken by the serous fluid formulated with

different test solution and shale powder to permeate a specific filter paper to a certain degree,

which is called CST value. The value is affected by the nature of liquid and dispersity of colloid

and it can be used to judge the colloidal dispersion degree of clay shale in water.
