In drilling process, one of the most important characteristics is the density of drilling fluid. Mud balance is a common instrument designed and produced for measuring drilling fluid density and other liquid material. Our mud balance was designed and produced in accordance with requirements described by the American Petroleum Institute (API), it is widely applicable to all kinds of oil fields, geological exploration and laboratories for liquid density analysis and measurement.

Our new Mud balance, model XYM, is a common instrument used for measuring drilling fluid density and other liquid material, widely applicable to all kinds of oil fields, geological exploration and laboratories for liquid density analysis and measurement.

Compared with model YM mud balance produced by our company, new Mud balance-model XYM is composed of metal cup, metric-inch double-scale stainless dividing ruler and engineering plastic bracket, has the characteristics of firmness, durability, fine surface, portability, stable calibration data without drift, high precision and long-term use without deformation.

The liquid densimeter of material sample adopts metric-inch double-scale, see below:

All kinds of our mud balance can be placed in a portable and suitable special box for transport and store conveniently.

The material cup is placed the end of rules, movable weight and balance weight are place on other end, leveling bubble and knife edge are fit on middle part. Fill the drilling fluid into material cup and cover it. Place the knife edge of ruler on the stand of pedestal, movable weight balance the ruler ( leveling bubble in the middle of the horizontal marking line), the corresponding mark of movable weight near the material cup on the ruler indicate the material sample density.
