The model NP-03 multilink intelligent shale swell meter is a precision measuring instrument that is used to detect the dilatometric changes of clay shale under a certain temperature range (ambient temperature~93℃) and atmospheric conditions.

It consists of support, test cup, sensor, magnetic stirring heater, computer, industrial control communication device, etc.

The instrument adopts computer intelligent processing system, digital temperature control system and quad structure, when enables simultaneous parallel tests with multiple samples or same samples. Multiple data can be obtained from one test. The computer control digital processing technique is reliable for connection and the data processing is accurate, which can avoid error caused by misalignment of the meter. As a safe and convenient tool, it has greatly improved the work efficiency.

Compact clay shale powder into shale cakes in the press mould and then put them into cups for testing. Fix the precision displacement sensor vertically above the shifting bar of the cups.Put the additive into the cups, heat and stir the additive. After that, the shale cakes will swell after absorbing the liquid additive and push the measuring probe of the precision displacement sensor to move up. The industrial control communication device will transfer the displacement into electrical signals. The computer will collect, record, save and output the testing results, that is, the swell increment of the sample.
